PRAYER

"If my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and
turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and heal their land."

II Chronicles 7:14

Prayer is fundamental to our faith.  The Word of God teaches that prayer is not only vital to our relationship with God, but encourages all Christ followers to be sensitive to the needs of others.

If you have a specific request that you would like our prayer team to know about you may simply contact the church office at (352) 368-1755.  Your requests can either be published in our prayer guide or, should you prefer, will be kept confidential.

If you prefer to submit your prayer request via email, please visit the "Contact" page

If you are new to our church, we want to serve you and see you nurtured in this community before we ask anything of you. For that reason the gateway to all service, in our church, is membership. We want you to commit to love this body, and we want to commit to love you in the same way.  Then together we can discover the unique gifts and opportunities God has provided for you to serve this church.  You can find out more about membership
here.

If you recognize an area in which you would like to serve please email our church office or you can make your desire known to one of our pastors or deacons and they will gladly help you get started.

MEMBERSHIP
Explore Membership in the Church

We encourage all believers of the Lord Jesus Christ to attach themselves to a community of believers by joining a local church. For those who wish to become part of UBC, we have a process in place by which people can become members. For those who wish to become members of UBC, we require that they, in good conscience, embrace our church constitution and must affiirm they agree with our confessional statements of faith.  Assuming these documents are affirmed, our membership process involves three basic steps:

1. Membership Class
We ask that prospective members take our short membership class taught by one of our elders.  This class covers the gospel, the history and theology of our church, and the privileges and expectations of members.  These classes are held at different times throughout the year, and interested individuals are encouraged to speak to an elder about their desire to register for this class.

2. Membership Interview
After completing the membership class, the elders will request a membership interview.  This is a casual conversation with the elders and provides the individual the opportunity to share his or her testimony of how he or she came to faith in Christ.  It is also an opportunity to ask questions about the church and to better get to know the elders.

3. Congregational Affirmation
The church is then given the opportunity to publicly affirm the new member by a congregational vote.

If you are interested in pursuing membership, please contact the church office
through email ubcanthony@earthlink.net or by phone (352) 368-1755.
